Package Draft 1 Released
OCTOBER 2025
Service and Creative Skills Australia (SACSA) has released Draft 1 of the updated Hairdressing and Barbering Training Package, which is currently in the consultation stage until February 27th 2026. Skin Deep Learning will start reviewing and updating our resources based on Draft 1 so that we can have a quick release when the final draft is endorsed.
RTOs will have twelve months to transition students and update all training and assessment resources when the final draft is released.

Transitioning to the new qualification will require a full review and update of your training and assessment resources, including:

Reviewing the updates in detail

Updating all training materials and assessments

Validating resources to meet the new requirements

Managing RPL of current students into the new qualification
This process is time-consuming and can create compliance risks if not done thoroughly. Let us help you through this process by doing the resource creation for you.
